If VERT approves the prices provided by Ignitis, the price for consumers who buy electricity from medium voltage networks will increase by 4.7 percent. (0.38 cents) to 8.406 cents per kilowatt hour (excluding VAT), and low voltage – 4.5 percent. (0.492 cents) to 11.393 cents.
The most popular single time zone “standard” rate will increase by 2.9 percent. (0.4 cents) to 14.1 cents per kWh (VAT included), two time zones: 3.9 percent. (0.6 cents) to 16.1 cents (days) and 1 percent. (0.1 cents) to 10 cents (night and weekend).
The rate for the single time zone of the “home” plan will increase by 4.1 percent. (0.5 cents) to 12.7 cents and 6.6 percent for the two time zones. (0.9 cents) to 14.6 cents (days) and 3.3 percent. (0.3 cents) to 9.3 cents (night).
The subscription fee will not change and will reach 3 or 6 euros per month, depending on the plan.
The City Council has previously stated that from 2021 the projected price of the electricity market will increase and the amount of electricity planned for distribution and supply will decrease. The price to consumers is also increased by an additional component to the distribution price.
These rates apply from January to domestic customers who are not in the first stage of market liberalization and who have not chosen an independent electricity supplier before December 10.
Ignitis will also be an independent electricity supplier.
Since July this year, electricity prices for domestic consumers have fallen on average by 8%, but since January they have risen on average by 14.7%.
