On Sunday, December 27, the police officers, according to preliminary data, registered 24 traffic accidents, 3 of which involved people. 4 road users were injured (drivers, passenger, pedestrian). All traffic accidents occurred on wet roads, 2 – during the dark hours of the day.
10 accidents per day when vehicles collide with animals (people were not injured).
A few minutes after midnight, in the Vilnius district, on the main road A2 Vilnius – Panevėžys, the Saab 95 was not driven by a 19-year-old boy who had no right to drive. The car was driving straight from the road to the right and collided with a wildlife fence. The young man himself was wounded.
In the afternoon, in Kaunas, on Kranto Alley, a 53-year-old man encountered a pedestrian while riding a bicycle on a bike path. Affected a 66-year-old woman.
In the afternoon (around 6:05 p.m.), in Vilnius, at the intersection of Arsenalo, T. Vrublevskio and Žygimantų streets (illuminated), under a slippery road, a car, driven by an 18-year-old Toyota Celica, slid into the opposite lane and collided with the Toyota Corolla and VW Touran. The accident involved a 26-year-old Toyota Corolla driver and a 23-year-old girl who were driving together.
