The Seimas intends to request the conclusion of the Constitutional Court if during the elections to the Seimas on October 11 of this year. In the multi-constitutional constituency Andrius Tapinas and the Laisvės TV Public Institution, a large-scale political information campaign “Very good, Woldemort” did not violate the legal norms that regulate the requirements to mark advertising and political unrest, indicating the origin of the funds and clearly distinguishing them from other political information. .

The Seimas would like to know if during the Seimas elections in a multinominal constituency the provisions of the Seimas Elections Law, which establishes the prohibition of publishing compromising material within the relevant legal deadlines, have been violated without the party and its candidates having the opportunity to express a contrary opinion.

It is proposed that the CC take an interest in the Seimas elections in the Paneriai-Grigiškės single-member electoral district (No. 11), where numerous violations of the vote counting and electoral campaign rules were identified.

“That the provisions of the Seimas Elections Law, which establish democratic electoral procedures, whose observance is necessary for the recognition of the electoral results as legitimate and lawful, have not been violated; Did the serious violations of the Seimas Elections Law in this single-member constituency allow the Central Electoral Commission to accurately identify the candidates who entered the second round of the Seimas elections? “Such questions are formulated by the CC.

Parliamentarians would like to ask whether a large-scale information campaign “Everything is fine, Woldemortai” is being implemented during the Seimas elections against LLRA-KŠS and the violations in the single-member electoral district Paneriai-Grigiškės in the multi-member electoral district of Andrius Tapinas and the Laisvės TV Public Institution. 11 had a significant impact on the Seimas elections.

The authors of the petition emphasize that serious violations of the Seimas Elections Law can have a significant impact on the distortion of the will of the voters, the formation of political power and the future of the State and the Nation.
They also point out that the Constitution establishes the right of the Seimas to go to the Constitutional Court with an investigation on whether the Seimas Elections Law has not been violated.

The text of the petition was signed by the “peasants” of the Seimas, the social workers, the Lithuanian Polish electoral campaigns, representatives of the Christian Families Union faction, including Agnė Širinskienė, Ramūnas Karbauskis, Gediminas Kirkilas, Rita Tamašunienė, Saulius Skvernelis and others.

The Seimas draft resolution “On the investigation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania” is scheduled to be included in the agenda of the unscheduled plenary session of the Seimas that will begin on Wednesday.
