Artūras Karpalovas, Chief Prosecutor of the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Division of the Šiauliai Regional Prosecutor’s Office, said that the investigation was delayed for objective reasons.

If the patient purchased the Versan Fluid Uno supplement directly from the physician or pharmaceutical company manager, the physician was left with a bonus of up to 350 LTL.
If the patient shopped at the pharmacy or requested a bill, the doctor’s salary would be reduced to approximately 250 LTL. Officials established that even in this case not all the money went to the cash register; the accounting documents showed that 140 litas had been received.
Old preparations – new packaging
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that Valentis Pharma employees repackaged the end-of-life products and put them back on the market.
The head of the STP Šiauliai board, V. Pupelis, said that this information had been passed on to the State Food and Veterinary Service and the State Drug Control Service. The latter imposed administrative sanctions on pharmacists.
