The director of Pravaturas and M.Bertulis followed in the footsteps of “Beech and Beech” on the trip to the USA.

Then I looked at the websites of the American authorities and realized that I probably would not travel yet, as EU travelers are still prohibited from entering the country. More specifically, entry is allowed, but you must have been outside the EU for at least 14 days before entering. So where, man, will you be an orphan for those two weeks before coming to America?

“How is where?” He was surprised and said in Mexico without thinking Mantas Bertulis, a famous public figure and habitual bearer of kindness. Let’s go to Mexico, lay on the beach for two weeks, and fly to the United States. “” Great idea, wise Bertuli, “I said. “But it is only suitable for those who have the opportunity to divide their time however they want, that is, to work when they want to or not work at all, if they don’t want to.”

Also, Bertulis added that he will definitely be leaving and will probably not be late. And left. Three days after the thought of this thought. And without a return ticket, because you will come back whenever you want. That’s Bertulis, don’t wait. It flew away and I sighed, letting the coronavirus ravage Mary’s land. My rodent was further aggravated by my brother Vytautas, also known as the director of Pravaturas, who left for Mexico a few days later after Bertulis.

VIDEO: During the pandemic, travel does not stop: how and why M. Bertulis went on vacation to Mexico

After a two-week vacation in Mexico, the giants flew, as might have been predicted, to the American city of Salt Lake City, Utah. Utah was chosen because and why not? To some extent, I think, it was influenced by the fact that at the time, Utah did not have a strict policy on coronavirus and did not require either a negative test or self-isolation.

As you know, different states have their own separate coronavirus policies, and in Utah it was one of the mildest. The boys said there was some concern that the Americans would not get hooked because they were from the EU, but absolutely no one was hooked. Soon my mother Sigutė joined them and the travelers began their month-long journey. And while sitting in Lithuania, I described your impressions and here I pass them on to you.

The first impression travelers had when they left the airport outside was that perhaps they were asked a bit with their clothes. The boys who came from the summer of Mexico with shorts, sandals and hats were greeted by the snow.

Have you seen the cult comedy Blunt and Blunt? I am and not once, but at least a dozen. In fact, I memorize that movie. This is a true haven for “Beech and Beech” fans in Utah, because many scenes from the movie were shot here. You can still find places like Loid and Harry’s apartment or the like here, which friends Mikaitis and Bertulis did: they were actively looking for those places.

By the way, Lloyd and Mary’s farewell scene was actually filmed at Providence airport, where do you think? Of course, at the Salt Lake City airport. Unfortunately now at this airport you will not feel like the movie will fail because it is rebuilt in a new but fragrant acetone.

For those of you who don’t like or don’t watch this movie, I won’t be too tormented by telling stories about it (no matter how you would like to do it), I’ll just say that the guys spent more than half a day looking for filming locations. It was not a waste of time, because there is not much else to do in Salt Lake City.

What did the boys do to avoid freezing? Ogi bought winter clothes. As you know, America is not a country that I traveled to cheaply, so from the moment I arrived, my friends had agreed to spend the money wisely and only for basic needs. On that occasion, Bertulis went to the store and bought not only clothes, but also toys, air rifles, microphones, lighting and even a basketball table with a goal, net and ball.

For the same for $ 70, he bought Clark’s hat because here is the Wild West. How would you be in the Wild West without a Clark hat? People will not understand. You probably know what Clark is? This is a singer from Balius, where he sings: the tractor plowed the ground, the engine rumbled loudly. I’m sorry – you remember. The near future proved that such a hat not only served its purpose as a hat, but also provided one hundred percent contraception, as it was impossible to hang a single pan while wearing it.

Still, Bertulis shopping would not be worth laughing at, as the near future has shown that such useless purchases have proven to be very rewarding. So what happened?

A coronavirus has occurred. Located in Salt Lake City, the friends rejoiced that they didn’t have to wear masks, and open bars, restaurants and clubs attracted exhausted seniors in quarantine. These rushed to party as a break from lenciūgo. Unfortunately, just a couple of days after the fun started, an ordinance was issued in Utah severely restricting activities that led to mass gatherings.

In essence, the quarantine has gone into effect in Utah. The masks were said to be worn even outdoors. Entertainment establishments closed, restaurants began offering takeout, and many bars were closed. Others, it is true, tried to dig. Some bought food in restaurants, resold it in bars and a customer who did not buy food did not receive drinks. Not surprisingly, the children’s lives were soon lost because there was absolutely nothing to do at night. During the day they drove around the state and at night they went to hotels because there was nowhere to go.

Because it gets dark early in the winter, those nights started quite early. That’s when Bertulis found it useful to buy air rifles and a basketball board. The guys clung to that board in the hotel and scold “less” all night. The contestants were so upset that the basketball backboard broke one night. And when it looked like the main entertainment of the west was over, Bertulis unleashed a new basketball board with a full stick the next day.

But this funny It was only in the afternoons, and friends of friends spent their days in a meaningful way: riding in national parks. Of course, I didn’t get very far without a car, so our heroes rented a car at the Salt Lake City airport for ten days and explored the beauties of nature through them. For $ 70 per person, they bought a permit to visit every national park in the US for one year. They are the best episode of Utah and its surroundings.

Zajon National Park, Arches National Park, Dead Horse State Park, Canyon Land National Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes Park, Gampo Hill Forest, and similar places that Bertulis himself got confused in recounting because he tried so hard to visit and remember everything.

When asked to calm down and only count the three best Utah episodes, he listed: Forest Gamp Hill (the hill seen at the bottom of the road that Forest Gamp ran through in the film), Zajon National Park Al director of Pravaturas does not like much, because he prefers to lie down a lot) and … Tanoka Beard.

Do you remember that about 15 years ago, a rapist basketball player played in Kaunas “Žalgiris” a few seasons ago? This was Tanoka Beard, the god of Kaunas fanatics at the time. Yes, he lives in Utah now, and our heroes had nachališkumo to break into the quiet life of a basketball player.

But nothing here yet. They were only going to talk to Tanoka, but they even broke into another known person in Lithuania to live, and in a Denver hotel they caused a panic over the earthquake. May these and other adventures of theirs be described in another part of America’s great Midwest voyage.
