As the director of the school told reporters, he learned about the situation from journalists.

Towards the end of the school year, Bruneros offered his services to schools, emphasizing that he pays special attention to food safety, hygiene, and service culture, but inspectors visiting Prince Gediminas Progymnasium do not agree with such statements, according to the LNK report prepared by Ieva Motiejūnaitė.
It turns out that Brunera chefs were able to feed the children sweaty meat and put the food waste alongside the ready meals. The SFVS found 5 kilograms of beef in bad condition, which inspectors ordered destroyed. However, inspectors who arrived the next day found that the rancid meat had not gone to the trash but was stacked with other kitchen products. Bruneros will have to answer for this in court.
“On the first day, when the inspectors ordered the destruction of the expired beef, unfortunately the inspectors discovered tomorrow that the same beef (…) had been returned to the freezer, which contains the usual raw materials with which it is used. will make the food. , – Daiva Ruželienė, Adviser to the Vilnius Department of the SFVS, spoke about the identified violations.
It is for this reason that, according to the report, inspectors suspect that the children’s food was made from stale meat and food scraps. Additionally, inspectors found that the progymnasium students were given very little salad and the green meat was kept alongside the fresh berries. The Brunera inspectors complained to their own chef. The company does not hide the existence of violations, but claims that it has eliminated them.
“It just came to our notice then. It is surprising what is rumored is that all the information is presented in the form of more rumors. The anonymous chef has some anonymous comments. The deficiencies that the vet has found have already been eliminated and we are working as All laws require it, ”Brunija’s representative Silvija Petrauskienė told LNK journalists by phone.
The company qualifies the disclosed information as libel and is considering defending its reputation in court.
According to the school principal, there had been other problems with eating before: the children were short of food.
“One day there were almost 100 children missing in the Persianas department. But after that, the company itself transported thermoses and fed the children,” said the school principal.
The municipality offers the progymnasium to terminate the contract with this company and look for another supplier.
“The municipality, in turn, will take the strictest sanctions and offer the institution to terminate the contract as soon as possible, it is now being reviewed by our lawyers,” Alina Kovalevskaja, education adviser of the Vilnius Municipal Administration, told reporters. .
