15 minutes wrote on Friday that part of the Nida Seklyčia complex will remain history. After fifteen years of litigation, the end of the road has come: the guest house where the parties took place will be demolished. According to Romas Kvaselis, director of the Robala company, which manages Nida Seklyčia, the demolition works will be completed in March.
The history of the building’s construction reached the courts more than fifteen years ago. According to R. Kvaselis, the building was rebuilt after receiving all the permits. There was even support from the European Union.

However, a few years after the reconstruction, when the building was declared fit for use, a long journey through the courts began. The motivation has been started that the glass part of the building is not typical of the Curonian Spit, the landscape is being damaged, the building permits have been destroyed.
R. Kvaselis estimates that the losses could reach about 2.5 million. euros. So he hopes to condemn the state that it has to pay for the “errors of the officials.” There are already precedents at Curonian Spit: after the demolition of a fish restaurant in Juodkrante, the builders managed to claim solid compensation from the state.
