Given the situation at Covid-19, all current security requirements will be met, but the festive atmosphere and the old French picnic traditions will not change that. It is true that the number of people who will attend the picnic will be limited. And the place, as always, will be hidden until the last minute.
Le Dîner en Blanc will be a great alternative to elegant travel this year. It is an event that, even without traveling, moves as if it were another country, when the sea of people adorned in white creates images that are unusual for the eye. When you meet new interesting people and you meet, it’s been a long time since you saw them. When you organize a celebration for yourself by making or buying something unusual, perhaps French, when you bring out the delicacies saved for special occasions.
Dovilė Butkienė, who brought the white picnic to Lithuania and has been organizing it for seven years, is glad that Le Dîner en Blanc has already become a tradition of the end of summer in our country, and this year it can even replace the feeling about traveling: “This year, when travel opportunities are limited, on an elegant trip to the city. It really evokes lower feelings than at night on the Mediterranean coast. The wow factor and otherness make you feel like you are on a very luxurious and elegant journey. However, this year, the number of participants will be limited, so we invite the participants of our celebration not to forget to register and not wait until the last moment. “
Registration for this event is done in three stages. The first stage will be open to people who have already attended Le Dîner en Blanc in the previous year.
During the second stage, those recommended by the participants of the first stage may be registered. The third stage is for all new entrants. They can subscribe to the waiting list, which can be accessed through the link: vilnius.dinerenblanc.com/register.

“Le Dîner in Blanc and in Lithuania “
The idea of organizing Le Dîner en Blanc in Lithuania came from Dovile Butkiene, who worked in the field of beauty and fashion for many years. Seeing photos of a white dinner held in Paris, an aesthetically indifferent woman wanted to decorate Vilnius with this elegant event. For the first time, the team received a lot of public interest and support. In five years, this event has become one of the most anticipated summer holidays in Vilnius, gathering old friends, allowing them to meet new people, dress up, enjoy gourmet food and capture it in stunning photos. Valda Lukošiūtė has been on the organizing committee for Le Dîner en Blanc since the start of the event in Lithuania. This woman, who loves gourmet food and aesthetics, set out to learn French a year after her first visit to Paris. That’s what he did. A year later, Valda was already fluent in French, and upon receiving an invitation to join Le Dîner en Blanc, she gladly accepted, as French culture and traditions were very close to women.
