As the epidemiological situation in the country has changed, the procedure for identifying high and low risk municipalities has been updated. In high-risk municipalities, certain groups of people are being studied more intensively for coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Starting October 16. High-risk municipalities will be those municipalities where the total 14-day morbidity rate of COVID-19 is 100,000. The population is older than 50 years, more than 10 cases of the disease have been detected in 14 days and / or the proportion of positive tests detected during the week is 4%. or more of all the surveys carried out in the municipality.
These changes are enshrined in the decision of the Operations Manual, which can be found HERE.
Until now, high-risk municipalities have included those municipalities where the epidemiological indicator is 100,000. The population was over 25 and more than five cases of coronavirus infection were detected in the last 14 days.
In high-risk municipalities, prophylactic examinations of employees of treatment and social welfare institutions, as well as of patients who have spent more than 48 hours in treatment institutions.
This week, the population of 17 municipalities is being studied more intensively: the districts of Raseiniai, Radviliškis, Kelmė, Šiauliai, Kaunas, Vilnius, Mažeikiai, Šilalė, Kėdainiai, Panevėžys, as well as the districts of Šiauliai, Rietavas, Kaktrunasneinkai and Kaunasneinkai.
The list of high-risk municipalities is updated weekly according to morbidity rates.
