Last week, at the request of the Czech shoe merchant Prabos plus, the Vilnius Regional Court suspended the tender, one of which was awarded to the German company HAIX Schule Produktionsund Vertriebs.
According to the BNS Department of Strategic Communication and Public Relations of the Ministry of National Defense, the Defense Resources Agency will not appeal the court order.
“Since procurement cases are dealt with in a shorter time frame, and in order not to increase the potential costs of litigation …, the Defense Resources Agency will await a final judicial decision,” the department said.
The agency divided the three-year shoe competition into three parts. The first part, which is disputed in the courts, foresees the acquisition of 37.2 thousand. pairs of summer shoes.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, soldiers of all types of the Lithuanian Armed Forces must wear uniform shoes for outdoor activities such as service and combat footwear, used during military field exercises and in the performance of daily tasks.
In the second part, where the ship’s uniform shoes are bought, it is planned to acquire at least 700 pairs. It is planned to sign a contract with the winner of the tender in the near future.
In the third part, the purchase of shoes, the contest was not held because no offers were received, it will be held again.
