Fire, drums, songs, balloons, dances, various Neptunes rulers of the sea, wide smiles and silent greetings – this was the course of this year’s Festival of the Sea. After suffering from a pandemic that lasted for more than a year, Klaipeda residents and guests welcomed her with open hearts and applause.
The mayor of Klaipėda, Vytautas Grubliauskas, and the head of the Klaipėda State Port Authority, Algis Latakas, led the procession.
Traditionally, sea captains and all current and future seafarers have been given the greatest respect.
The 2021 Baltic Regatta sailing regatta crews, who happily joined the Klaipeda event, rejoiced at his knowledge and good humor.
Spectators moved to the rhythm of the marches performed by various orchestras, marveling at the columns of companies, academies, communities and special services.
The young spectators barely managed to read the notes they carried in front of the columns of the participants: “Smeltė”, “Vlantana”, Lithuanian Maritime Museum, State Tax Inspectorate. No one got tired of writing lyrics, so they clapped and waved with joy.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in Lithuania, DFDS surprised famous performer Egidijus Sipavičius in a separate car in front of his team, who did not skimp on his voice by putting out everyone’s favorite songs and congratulating people on the holiday.
Police rode skates, motorcycles, cars, horses, and married service dogs. Firefighters shot a car siren and a real fire broke out from his body.
The organizers and participants of the Klaipeda – European Youth Capital events drew attention to themselves by playing the drums.
Ethnic communities attracted attention with multi-colored national clothing.
The Klaipeda University community did not tire of walking the city streets to make waves.
The dancers of the Tendance dance school surprised with their grace and endurance when dancing and marching at the same time.

The procession, a little shorter than usual, but very colorful and curiously prepared by the participants, passed through the main streets of the city, infecting spectators with good humor. He dragged her to the cruise terminal, where the grand opening of this year’s Festival of the Sea took place.
