Officials from the Economic Crimes Investigation Division of the Criminal Police visited the municipality of Alytus city on Monday. According to sources, they searched the office of Mindaugas Matažinskas, the chief architect of the city of Alytus.
M. Matažinskas told the portal Alytausgidas.lt that a pre-trial investigation is underway, he is invited to be questioned tomorrow as a witness, he cannot comment on this matter.
Representatives of the Alytus County Chief Commissariat confirmed to the Alytausgidas.lt portal that a pre-trial investigation had been initiated in accordance with two articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania: forgery or possession of a forged document and submission of false information for get a document.
In the pre-trial investigation, to date no complaints have been made.
