The CEC approved the final results of the Seimas elections

During the two rounds of elections to the Seimas on October 11 and 25, 141 parliamentarians were elected to represent the electorate in the Seimas for the next four years. The party that won the majority of the elections (50 seats) was the party secured in the Seimas, the Lithuanian Christian Democratic Party-Union of the Fatherland (TS-LKD).

The current ruling “peasants” will delegate 32 parliamentarians, the Social Democrats and the liberal movement to the Seimas. The Freedom Party, founded in 2006, won 11 seats in the Seimas elections and the Labor Party won 10 seats.

The Seimas also included 4 candidates who had run as their own candidates, 3 representatives of the Union of Christian Families of the Polish Election Campaign, 3 “social workers” and a representative of the Freedom and Justice Party and a representative of the Green Party Lithuanian.

As previously announced, the ruling coalition is made up of the TS-LKD, the Liberal Movement and the Freedom Party, which together secure a 74-member majority of the Seimas.
