According to local online publication Podjom, the fighting started around 4pm local time. The video shows the driver approaching a man being pushed out of a bus and hitting him in the face with a fist. The “passenger” falls on the asphalt from the impact.
Representatives of the Moscow city transport RIA Novosti confirmed the information that the driver had taken force against the passenger. According to Mosgortrans, “the passenger behaved inappropriately while on the bus, caused a conflict with other passengers and broke the bus window.”
According to the Baza news channel, the conflict initially arose between the two passengers. Apparently one of them initially prevented the door from closing and later broke the glass in a bottle. It was at that moment that the driver ran towards him.
According to sources in Podjom, the conflict between the passengers was due to one of them refusing to put on a mask. The video shows that the passenger injured by the driver got on the bus without a mask when the remaining passengers were wearing them.
The driver was fired, it is under investigation.
