According to A. Bilotaitė, Lithuania has launched a pre-trial investigation into the actions of Belarusian border guards and violations of border crossings. On Tuesday, several Belarusian officials crossed the Lithuanian border, pushed dozens of migrants and withdrew.
“There are certain procedures, a pre-trial investigation has been started on this situation and the commissioner has been informed. As far as I know, it was a short episode, but knowing that crossing the border is already crossing the line, so we respond to that.
I believe that both the strengthening of our forces and the initiation of the pre-trial investigation, as well as I know that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is initiating a note, these measures are sufficient, considering this situation ”, said the Minister.
