On Saturday night an extraordinary meeting was played in Druskininkai: the young Lithuanians (under 16 years old) competed with the Lithuanian women’s team.

In the intriguing duel, the 16-year-old team led by Laimonas Eglinskas showed more than the guaranteed advantage, 100: 54 (30:12, 29:12, 26:10, 15:20) crushed the Lithuanian women’s team.
The 16-year-old started the game with a thunderbolt of 13: 0, and the women’s team led by Mantas Šernius scored the first points after playing just over 3 minutes.
After the first half, the girls crushed the women’s team 30:12. The youngsters scored so many points even after missing 6 free throws.
After two halves, the lead had already risen to 35 points (59:24), and after three halves to 51 points (85:34). This advantage was a match record.
In the final 5 minutes and 48 seconds, the sixteen-year-old scored just four points.
Domantas Šarauskas scored the 100th point.
In quick attacks, the sixteen-year-old scored 42 points and the women’s team did not score any points.
At this meeting, Justė Jocytė and his brother Rokas Jocys met. Jocytė got off the bench and scored 4 points in 14 minutes.

Rokas Jocys has taken the lead since the start of the match and scored 12 points in 10 minutes. He did not appear on the field of play in the second half of the game.
The sixteen-year-olds performed without one of the brightest basketball players of his generation, Paulius Maurauskas, who played for the Žalgiris NKL doubles team last year.
