Expiration received products
On Saturday, the Seimas “peasant” member, Arvydas Nekrošius, shared an entry on his Facebook account about what food reaches the homes of children who receive free meals during the quarantine.
He said he had received a message from a Raseiniai resident:
“At the V.Petkus school, food rations were distributed to first graders and preschoolers for 2 weeks. One of the items in the ration that sparked an argument among parents: a box (120 pcs. = 1.2 kg) of mayonnaise, which expires on February 1, 2021. It is not realistic to consume this amount in a couple of days . <...> I don’t even talk about the piece of meat in the unlabeled ration and the unlabeled frozen meatballs, “the politician shared in the text of the message.
You can see the photos below:
After the publication of the record, A. Nekrošius stated that he had received several dozen similar complaints. According to him, several fundamental problems prevail.
“The main problem is 3-4. The expiration is close, so people receive the products 2-3 days before the expiration.
Second part, many people question the quality of the food. <...> And the third thing is that unmarked products such as meat products, meatballs, dumplings and the like are packed in disposable bags. And there is no indication: neither the manufacturer, nor the composition, nor what weight, nor when it expires ”. 15 minutes He noticed.

No information
The largest number of complaints were received about the food provided by the Raseiniai Viktoras Petkus basic school.
Director of the Ramūnas Bružas school 15 minutes He said that the UAB Gaileta company, founded by Vijoleta Gailienė, is currently in charge of catering at the educational institution.
The director said that so far he has not received direct complaints, so he is unaware of the problem.
“I have not received any official complaint and I do not know that information, there have been no complaints before, I do not know what the problems are here,” he said.
Of course, we would initiate an investigation, contact the SFVS service, and look.
When asked why food packages are not labeled, he said that quantities of food are bought in large quantities and distributed, and its quality should be evaluated by the relevant services.
“They are constantly inspected by the Food and Veterinary Office. And when a large quantity is divided into bags, of course, there will be no markings on each bag. But I am not a specialist in that field, SFVS is watching, “he said.
He also assured that the school will take action in the event of direct complaints.
“Of course, we would initiate an investigation, we would contact the SFVS and we would observe,” he said.

So far everyone has praised
Two more schools were reprimanded by their parents: Girkalnis Basic School in Raseiniai District and Simonas Stanevičius Gymnasium in Viduklė.
They are fed by the same company – UAB Gaileta.
15 minutes School representatives recalled that so far no direct complaints have been received from parents.
Danutė Janutienė, director of the S. Stanevičius Gymnasium in Viduklė, said she was shocked by the allegations in the public space, because school representatives are in constant communication with parents, asking for their opinion on the shared meal and passing information to the provider.

“As the head of an institution, I cannot guarantee quality compliance, I do not have the opportunity to check it, the relevant institutions can do it, but we are constantly interested in the composition of the packages, without the input of the gym there is no package division, “he said.
The director also stressed that the products are placed in several, one month – fish is added, the other – poultry, as well as products such as eggs, chips, curd, etc.
“They are just different, but it is impossible to say that they are worse. Perhaps after taking the package, the first image looks smaller, but its value is different,” said D. Janutienė.
He assured that so far many positive comments have been received, so no doubt has been raised about whether the provider is good.
The school didn’t really receive any complaints directly.
“In the past, about five, four years ago, we had entire complaints from parents about food on the gym council, and so on, and now we don’t have any, that’s a true indicator,” he emphasized. He assured that if parents communicate directly with the school, solutions will be sought.
Danutė Jocienė, the secretary of the Girkalnis Basic School, spoke in a similar way: that no one applied for the school.
“The school has not received any complaints directly, nobody is registered and I really cannot comment on anything,” he said. “Last time I was happy with the portions and the response was excellent.”
Regarding the quality of the rations, he urged to speak with the supplier himself – the company “Gaileta”.
It is said to be false
Director of the company V. Gailienė 15 minutes He said it was false to say no in the public sphere that the school had not complained, and many parents were happy with the food they received.
Regarding unlabeled products, he explained that products are bought in large quantities and only then distributed in portions, so it is not possible to distribute the labels to everyone.
“I have labels for all meat, but because we get a lot when we can portion it, it doesn’t come out for everyone after five or ten pounds. <...> “I have an account, in case anyone is interested,” he said.

According to V. Gailienė, the complaints filed are slander by a few people.
“We added dumplings to make it easier for parents to put them in the pot, maybe faster; they put a bubble back up so it wouldn’t be written who made it. We did it on the spot while we fed hot dumplings to kids, so we put them in a bag for them here, I have no idea what’s wrong here, here’s some kind of bubble, he explained.
– But in this case they are wrong (slander – 15 minutes), everyone is happy, parents are happy, thank you for that, you go dumplings, we make the children eat, I do not understand in any way what is happening here. Here are some of our babies, moms, who … Such an undertaking, the bubble will probably burst out of nowhere. “
When asked if it could have happened that one of the products in the ration was a 1.2 kg box of mayonnaise, and its validity was to expire in a few days, V. Gailienė replied that “it could not”.
“Share it, there were bags, disposable jars, share, give to sister, brother, I don’t understand.<...> this is just an excuse to write here ”, defended the manager of the company.

He stressed that there were no expired products, “maybe it’s over, nobody’s over.”
According to her, it is incorrect to compare it with other schools that gave a dry ration once a month.
I’m hooked so we try to feed ourselves and go black like this
“We gave a dry dose twice for 10 and 10 days, and here we compared it to” Source “(progymnasium – 15 minutes) for 20 days. They gave for 20 days together, that dose is higher. <...> Maybe we didn’t look at that mom for how much we gave her that dose.
I’m sick, that’s how we try to feed it and blacken it. ” 15 minutes said the head of the company “Gaileta”.
