A Facebook group that unites Lithuanians in Norway also asked for help to find a Lithuanian who had disappeared at the scene of the tragedy.

As the landslide slid down, at the place of the road that passed through the town there was a deep shaft through which cars could not pass. The released footage saw dramatic footage of a house sliding into an open well.

The published photos show that at least eight houses have been demolished.

Police spokesman Roger Pettersen told Norwegian media that there were no reports of missing persons, but authorities cannot rule out the presence of people in the collapsed house during the disaster. According to him, there is currently no data on the whereabouts of 21 people registered in the area.

“Those 21 people may have been evacuated, but these people may still be in the disaster area,” Pettersen told the NTB news agency.
