The lunches of the members of the Seimas in full quarantine were illegal. This was determined by the police who completed the investigation, reports LNK News. The case related to the violation of the quarantine rules in the Seimas café was transferred to the court, which was confirmed by the Chief of the Vilnius 3rd Police Commissariat, Donaldas Dubaka.
“Yesterday, an administrative infringement report was prepared for non-compliance with the requirements established by the Government during the quarantine. The material has been delivered to the court,” he said.
Only cafeteria managers have to appear in court. According to the boss, they face a fine of up to 6,000. Euros Seimas members wrote explanations to the police. After evaluating them, officials decided that MPs had done nothing wrong. Although it violated the rules written by the government and did not take into account the requirements published in the café.
“Of course, it was evaluated that the material contains explanations from Seimas members regarding that situation. The police made that decision. Of the material collected, after evaluating all the data, no violations were found,” said a representative of the policeman.

While still eating in the cafeteria, the social democrat Algirdas Sysas explained that he did not eat in the cafeteria.
“I took it off the counter,” A. Sysas told reporters an excuse.
Conservative Vytautas Juozapaitis saw this as a cynical explanation. Sys is still reluctant to accept that he has been very offended, and says he no longer remembers how he ate.
A. Syso’s party colleague Julius Sabatauskas, even after learning that he is not threatened with a fine, he thinks.
“If I am prosecuted, of course, I will respond, I will not avoid it, I will not complain about any punishment, whatever it is,” the MP promised.
MPs who took food during the quarantine, as it should be, say colleagues who had wanted to eat lunch on the spot put the cafeteria staff in an awkward position.
“We still believe that a member of the Seimas is some kind of boss, and of course not. I am very sorry for the women in the canteen who had to pick up the broom and expel the members of the Seimas. I very much hope that they now feel the moral obligation the company to pay the fine, ”said Ingrida Šimonytė, representative of the conservative faction in the Seimas.
The head of the Seimas cafe could not be reached. There are those in Parliament who believe that the Chancellery should not be punished, but the Chancery of the Seimas. Because the cafe only rents the kitchen and the dining room belongs to the Seimas Chancellery. So she must maintain order.
Cafe boss Seimas has previously said that he cannot control parliamentarians that they themselves pass laws that are binding on all of Lithuania.
