Prince Carl Philip, son of King Charles XVI Gustav of Sweden, who is fifth in line to the royal throne, and his wife are “happy, excited and expecting their third child.”
The Royal Palace has indicated that Princess Sofia is well and that the baby should be born in March or April.

According to the couple, the “new little member of our family” will be the sister or brother of their two children, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel.

In late November, the Swedish prince and his wife were diagnosed with a COVID-19 coronavirus infection. The couple isolated themselves at home.
