During the raid in Marijampolė district, officials from the Immunity Service of the Department of Environmental Protection and the Vilnius Wildlife Protection Inspectorate detained a hunter who hunted in a prohibited way: a night vision appendage attached to a scope.

During the inspection, it was found that the hunter from the hunting club “Amalva” SP used prohibited hunting tools: he had attached a night vision appendage to the optical sight of his weapon, which he concealed in a shoe from the environmentalists during the inspection.

It is true that the hunter’s desire to deceive officials did not escape the eyes of environmentalists. This prohibited gear was spotted during a hunter’s inspection.

A rifle, a hunter’s ticket and an administrative infraction report will be drawn up in accordance with Article 290 of the ANC.

A person is subject to an administrative fine of 600 to 1,700 euros, confiscation of hunting equipment and equipment, and deprivation of the right to hunt for one to five years for a serious violation of hunting regulations.
