Almost a hundred officers will work
During the long weekend, an average of almost a hundred police officers will work daily in Klaipėda County and will be assisted by partners.
“In accordance with the instructions of the Government, the police officers will check compliance with the quarantine rules in Lithuania, as well as in Klaipėda county.
In Klaipėda County, an average of 80-90 police officers will work per day, as well as military police and state border guard service officers, police supporters, shooters and other social partners will help ensure public order, so we really have enough forces ”says A. Grauslienė.
According to her, the officers will work not only during the day but also at night, so it should come as no surprise that the driver receives a request from the police to stop.
“Inspections are organized at any time of the day and officials can stop the car in the city or district, not at the checkpoint, and ask where and for what purpose.
This weekend, people traveling by train will also be checked, yesterday during a check of this type at the Klaipėda train station, about 30 passengers from the Klaipėda-Vilnius train were checked, ”says the police spokeswoman.
