“Beneficiaries can be reached on days other than usual. Most pensioners will receive payments into their accounts earlier than usual, starting August 6, some on the normal payment date. A small number of beneficiaries they will receive payments one day later than usual, ”he told BNS.
If a person receives a pension in a bank account, the timing of the transfer will depend on the particular bank and region. For those receiving pensions, the money will be brought home from August 10-26, at which point it can be picked up at the post office.
“The lump sums will reach the recipients’ accounts on the same day as the recurring payments, but via a different transfer, as this is a separate type of payment,” Kozič said.
Kozich said Sodra didn’t need additional human or technical resources to pay for the € 200 benefits, but it took time.
According to M. Kozič, it was not possible to pay the benefits in June, because when the government decided the lump sum, Sodra already had a list of orders, both pre-planned and new.
According to her, the contract with the contractors was signed on June 26 and the software was developed, tested and ready in less than five weeks, a few weeks faster than usual.
The Seimas approved the government’s proposal to pay one-time benefits of 200 euros to socially vulnerable groups in early May. Managers said it would encourage consumption and partially offset the financial losses suffered by those at risk during the quarantine.
Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis has said that people at risk cannot lead normal lives due to restrictions.
President Gitan Nauseda offered to pay the aid before the end of the summer. The president also acknowledged that the date set by the rulers for granting benefits “is practically completely below the electoral threshold.”
