“We are not fighting for such Lithuania, Staseli, not for such.”
An acquaintance tells me in deep pain. The current mood reminds you of the times of the restoration of Lithuanian independence, only then did it become clear to you who the enemy is.
– What do you dislike? Why such gloomy thoughts? I ask.
– Staseli, Staseli, can you tell me where that freedom is? If you spoke differently to a progressive minority, how will they cut you off? And these “helicopters” are scarier than those. We are not fighting for such a Lithuania …
I understand that a person feels attacked. It’s bad for him. His faith in state, family and values is going through difficult times. He wants to defend his worldview, but from what and how? I think a lot of people around us are going through this.
The others too.
“We do not fight for such Lithuania. What darkness, what medieval cunning. It does not seem that we have moved from the point of death in three decades. Where are human rights? Where is democracy? Why is the church maintained by the state even in the 21st century? How can someone tell two adults who to sleep with and how to live? “
Yesterday I read the thoughts of Marijonas Mikutavičius that at present the state is not very divided, that p. Eg During the history of Kedio, the division was more pronounced. I do not agree. Later, some believed the facts, others did not. Now everything is more serious.
Now is the time to choose which side you are on. You will no longer be able to live without going deep.
I do not agree with my friend, who thinks that there is no more freedom in Lithuania. If you don’t express your opinion loud and bold, there is no opinion. Silent anger and dissatisfaction will go nowhere.
Let’s talk.
However, if the purpose of expressing one’s opinion is to deny, belittle, change the opinion of another person or of a group in society, the principle of life in a democracy is broken.
There are no right or wrong things. There are no innate human rights or responsibilities. There are no moral or immoral standards of conduct. Everything is a matter of our agreement. Democracy has very clear regulatory mechanisms.
Let’s talk and what is silent will not turn into outbursts of hatred.
I defend family and traditional values. Not only as concepts, but also as norms established by law (this is the case now).
I hear arguments to the contrary. I understand and respect them. But that doesn’t change my mind.
I was still too young at the time of the fateful events for Lithuania, but I can thank those who restored freedom.
Thank you for fighting for such Lithuania. So! ”Stano writes on Facebook and congratulates all his friends and followers on the occasion of March 11th.
