Spring still won’t surprise me: another powerful cold snap hits Lithuania

When asked what time we can expect in the next few days, the representative of gismeteo.lt assured that there will be no big colds during the weekend, but due to the strong winds it will be quite important.

“In the next few days, the weather will be similar throughout Lithuania. The temperature will endure cold temperatures of about 10-15 degrees, there will be less rainfall and it will not be intense, but there will be quite a north wind of 5-7 m / s. On the shore from the sea, the temperature will be a little higher, the temperature will reach 7-11 degrees, but the gusts can intensify up to 11 m / s. Care must be taken in many parts of Lithuania “, says the interlocutor.

According to him, the differences in temperature between day and night will increase during the next weekend.

“On weekends the cold will cool down a bit and the temperature will rise to minus one or five degrees during the day, and at the seaside it can even rise to plus one,” said K. Petkevičius.

When asked if we still have snow, the interlocutor assured that we should get it, but the rain will not be intense.

“The influence of the cyclone has weakened, it can snow in some parts of Lithuania, but not heavily. As the wind is strong, the snow is light, it can blow without snow,” says K. Petkevičius.

According to him, in the spring of next week it still does not smell, as even colder weather is approaching.

“There is a very large area of ​​cold air in the east. Next week, it seems that the weather will not get very hot, we will have a very cold and in winter. There is a possibility that next week, due to the air area aforementioned cold, an even colder climate occurs, the temperature can drop to minus twenty degrees ”, says K. Petkevičius.

Drivers must also be careful, as high winds can become a serious challenge.
