Delfi officials who lost their jobs said it was decided to reorganize shortly after the rapporteur provided information to the then president of the Seimas NSGK. The goal was to get rid of people disloyal to the leaders of the SSD.

And according to the sources, they were not so few. According to them, several dozen officials left work after the SSD announced the reform. According to sources, workers began to retire long before the reform was finalized: some have been retiring since January this year. According to the sources, among those who left were both high-ranking officials and scouts.

Some were not fired, but when they saw that they would not meet the requirements after the reorganization or realized that their positions would not remain, they decided to leave without waiting for the reorganization to end.

Yes, according to the sources, even very experienced people with highly sensitive information came out.

Most importantly, however, a high-ranking official with rapporteur status left the SSD before the reform was completed. According to Delphi sources, the officer decided to leave himself. He retired long before the end of the formal reform.

Ramūnas Ramanauskas, another former SSD employee who has filed an application with the court, Delfi stated that he has now prepared a new application with the court. According to him, several dozen people left the SSD during the reorganization. Among them are some of those who hold management positions.

“To assess the actual departure of intelligence officers, it is necessary to look from January 1, when new criteria became evident, new requirements for the positions. As far as I know, even then, people, after evaluating the situation, began to leave work, ”explained R. Ramanauskas.

He also assured that the reform is most likely related to the so-called rapporteur’s scandal.

Delfi contacted the SSD with questions and asked Director D. Jauniškis for answers, but the answers were sent by the SSD Strategic Communication Division.
