Lithuanian border guards blocked the rape areas and stopped accepting migrants after the Interior Minister issued an order on Monday night. According to him, the officials were instructed not to allow people who intend to cross the border to illegal places to enter the territory of Lithuania.
The first of these cases took place at the Švenčionys border checkpoint, where agents detained more than 10 migrants after cameras captured a group of migrants. With the help of soldiers, they were transported to the border mark and returned to Belarus.
A group of people were also returned to the Padvarioniai firebreak using a dog trainer with a service dog, which remained on the Belarusian side of the bridge for some time. Several other detained migrants returned to Belarus at the Pushki border post.
