The minimum and maximum amounts of some social security benefits vary because they depend on the national average salary, which is recalculated quarterly. The principle for calculating benefits does not change.
For example, the monthly sickness benefit cannot be less than 11.64 percent of the national average monthly salary in the quarter prior to the date the temporary incapacity to work was found. Therefore, the average salary in the first quarter of this year is used to calculate the amount of benefits in the third quarter of this year.

Said maximum benefits are received by residents whose average salary was greater than 2 at VMU.
