Snowdrifts, not only outside the window, but also on buses: residents share a photo in the capital

Patricija Elžbieta Zarankaitė, public relations representative for Vilnius Public Transport and the company, explained to Delfi that the company is aware of the case and that the vehicle is no longer carrying passengers.

“There is a lot of snow on the roads, so when the bus was running and on the roads there was an irregular corrugated bus connection connecting the two parts of the bus. Because that connection was damaged, snow entered the vehicle.

This bus was immediately removed from the route. It is currently being returned to the bus fleet, we are inspecting it and explaining the more precise reasons.

We will try to prevent more such vehicles from entering traffic and prevent this from happening again. We apologize to the passengers for the inconvenience they had to travel on such a bus, ”PE Zarankaitė told the editorial board.

The representative assured that the traffic conditions on the roads are currently difficult in general.

“Anyway, the delays are minimal, they are because our drivers try to drive a little more carefully due to the difficult traffic conditions, because it is wet and slippery, and we want to protect the passengers who are both in the vehicle as waiting at stops.

In some places it is difficult to enter, in some places the stops are loaded with enough snow, so it is difficult both for us to enter and for the passengers, but we did not notice any major problems, and if we notice that the road is snowy or slippery, we inform, ”he said.
