According to the head of government, a group of doctors and scientists will meet on Tuesday to make proposals for new restrictions and the introduction of measures to handle the coronavirus pandemic. The Prime Minister also notes that he will propose to tighten the quarantine regime and introduce it not only in the municipalities of the red zone, but also in the yellow zone.

“We have a rapidly deteriorating COVID-19 situation across Europe. It will be an extremely difficult winter. The increasing number of illnesses and losses is a clear sign that we must take stronger action. I have been talking to our scientists. and doctors for several days and in person. Reality like a pancake: the choice of instruments is not great. It seems that we will have to take a break from our normal life in the near future, “S. Skvernelis announced on Facebook on Saturday.

According to the Prime Minister, after the scientists present their proposals, the COVID-19 committee will meet to make concrete decisions.

“I will propose to the Government to expand and strengthen the quarantine in the red municipalities, as well as to introduce a quarantine regime in the yellow ones. At least for three weeks. This regime, in my opinion, should be much stricter than the current restrictions, ”said the head of government.

According to S. Skvernel, the coronavirus can only be stopped by quarantine or vaccine.

“We still don’t have the last, the first option remains. If the results are satisfactory, an extension of the quarantine may not be necessary. It depends on the behavior of all of us. I ask for all the focus and understanding. In the spring, we show that we can survive. Now we have to repeat this success story, “added the Prime Minister.
