I mean the legalization of drugs, etc. These are things that, as the opposition, we are not really going to allow and we are sure that the president will veto. Knowing the numbers in the Seimas, I think they will not be able to accept it, ”said R. Karbauskis.
According to R. Karbauskis, the party currently has excellent opportunities to prepare for the next elections.
“The opposition is strong and will be able to block decisions that are not good for Lithuania or support the presidential veto. I think our opportunities to work in the opposition are favorable,” said R. Karbauskis.
I would support the candidacy of Čmilytė
R. Karbauskis declares that he would support the candidacy of the Liberal Movement spokesperson Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen for the presidency of the Seimas.
“It just came to our attention then. If we evaluate how I know people, then of course Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen could be the Spokesperson for the Seimas. I hope and succeed. But what the coalition will agree on is no longer our concern,” He said.
V. Čmilytė-Nielsen, president of the Liberal Movement, says that she is happy with the results of the Seimas elections: she has won 13 parliamentary seats. According to her, the party hopes to receive the portfolios of three ministries and the position of Spokesperson for Seimas.
