As the prime minister hopes, it will open borders that have been closed due to a coronavirus pandemic.

“I don’t think anything really bothers because those epidemiological criteria are very similar, same thing. And, as you see, Poland is on the list of those safe countries. There is that breakthrough that we mentioned when we spoke to the Polish Prime Minister on Friday. There are fireplaces located in individual fireplaces. It’s just technical work, I hope we get it this week (solution – red.past.). Anyone who is already very thirsty can go for a weekend, “said S. Skvernelis.
I think there really is nothing to interfere with, because those epidemiological criteria are very similar, the same.
Substantial limitations
A government meeting on Wednesday will decide to end the quarantine after June 16.
According to S. Skvernelis, the decision on this will be tomorrow.
“Either another legal form will be changed, the emergency will remain or there will be quarantine,” he said.

The remaining substantial restrictions, according to the Prime Minister, will only be due to the risk of the possible spread of the disease both in the country and in imported cases.
“It is a safe distance, the absence of mass events. And the measures that help protect yourself are the application of all those self-protection measures, “said S. Skvernelis.
It will return to normal rhythm
S. Skvernel explained that the government will try to return to the normal rhythm of work before quarantine. An attempt will be made to hold a partial regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers tomorrow.

However, S. Skvernel noted that the situation due to the coronavirus pandemic did good things. By sitting at a distance, it was said that the government’s deliberations became much more constructive, fewer empty speeches, more decisions.
“And what’s great is that it doesn’t limit mobility.” Especially: ministers, public officials who had to travel to join from all over Lithuania. That model will apply. It is likely that the ministers, if they can and will be in Vilnius at that time, will work from the Government, and all who need it will simply join at a distance, “said the Prime Minister.
