Acting Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis explained in the Seimas that the government had already seen many slogans. The government’s program will be presented to the Seimas today and is expected to be adopted this week.

“I read the program. Many slogans, the feeling when reading is that it was seen somewhere: these are many of the provisions of the current provisional government program. The foundations have been laid in the bills that are being implemented or are being presented to the Seimas, ”said S. Skvernelis in the Seimas on Tuesday.

I. Šimonytė explained that the government program was based on the electoral programs of the parties that worked in the coalition, so it was not possible to copy the LVŽS proposals.

“The government program is based on the political programs with which the coalition parties went to the polls. It would have been very difficult for us to copy LVS’s electoral program, because it just wasn’t there, as far as I remember, ”the Prime Minister-designate said of the government’s program.

I. Šimonytė evaluated the words of the acting Prime Minister S. Skvernelis as a desire to criticize the opponent at any cost.

“It is a political culture such that the document provided by the opponent should be underestimated. The fact that someone sees the continuation of the work does not see any problem here. I said that nobody is planning any revolution, and those things that have been done well but they have not been done, they will continue. I don’t see any problem here, “explained the politician.

On Monday, I. Šimonytė hinted that the management of the coronavirus is not reflected in the government’s program, as there will be a separate plan for it. It is expected to be made public when the new cabinet begins operating.

Delphi recalls that on Monday, President Gitanas Nausėda approved by decree the Cabinet of Ministers of I. Šimonytė.
