Silver Winches Award Winners Announced

Last year the national film awards were not held, so this year they are awarded for the achievements of the last two years. This year, the “Silver Crane” awards are organized by the AVAKA association.

As announced, the awards will be presented by brilliant film and television stars: Justinas Jankevičius, Sandra Daukšaitė-Petrulėnė, Gabija Jaraminaitė, Viktorija Streiča, Vytautas Rumšas Jr., Nelė Savičenko and Vladas Bagdonas. They are connected by work on the filming site, as well as the Silver Winch ceremonies that have been going on for more than 10 years – they are the all-time past award hosts.

They are also commented on by the comedian Mantas Bartuševičius.

In the best short film posted by the director “Collective Gardens” by Vytautas Katkus. Viktorija Seniut and Vytautas Katkus, who received the award, were happy that the Silver Winch had taken place in such conditions and that they could be appreciated for their work.

The best cartoon category won by directors Skirmantas Jakaitė films Juggler.

The best co-production of the year (“Co-production”) – Oleg (Prod. Inscript).

The Silver Crane Selection Committee unanimously decided that this year the best professional domain the award is especially worthy of a virtual reality movie Creators of “Angelų takais” Kristina Buožytė and Vitalijus Žukas.

Years best documentary – “Animus Animalis (Story about people, beasts and things)” by Aistė Žegulytė. “This award is definitely a huge force that will give us the strength to continue to develop,” said the director upon withdrawing the award.

Years Best Editing Director job – Mikas Žukauskas (“Animus Animalis (Story about people, beasts and things))”.

Years best sound director job – Jonas Maksvytis (“Animus Animalis (Story about people, beasts and things))”.

Years best operator job – Narvydas Naujalis for the movie „Izaokas“.

Years best composer job – Agnė Matulevičiūtė, Domas Strupinskas (“Isaac”).

Years the best work of the artist – Audrius dumikas For the movie “New Lithuania“. Film director Karolis Kaupinis received the award for aa A. Dumikas.

“Silver lathes with egg” Two student works were awarded. The film was recognized as the best film of 2019 in this nomination.Children of the winners of the National Award ”(director Kamilė Milašiūtė)and for 2020 “Family” (director Titas Laucius).
