In 2006-2016, M. Žaliūkas represented the Lithuanian national team and defended the honor of clubs such as FBK Kaunas, Kauno Inkaro, Šilutė, Edinburgh Hearts, Glasgow Rangers, Leeds United and Vilnius Žalgiris.
