Unfortunately this year is different: people are invited to watch the Christmas tree lighting and the festive event safely, from home, on the TV3 screen.

For several years in a row, the Vilnius spruce has delighted not only the residents and guests of the city with its beauty, but also the lists of the most beautiful spruces compiled by foreign media.
It looks like she will be surprised this year too. The height of the Christmas tree in the capital, even 24 meters. This spruce required up to 6,000 fir branches, 3.5 km of garlands, 800 toys and even 150 square meters of mirrors.
The Mayor of Vilnius Remigijus Šimašius, the real Christmas and the event hosts: Mindaugas Stasiulis and Renata Šakalyte-Jakovleva will light up the Christmas tree during the festive event.
The most beautiful performances will be presented to the public by the beloved artists: Jurijus Veklenko, Inga Jankauskaitė, Justė Arlauskaitė-Jazzu, Vidas Bareikis and G&G Sindikatas will present a new song “Christmas” created especially for Vilnius on the occasion of the lighting of the Christmas tree.
Spectators will also see how famous Lithuanian families prepare for the most important celebrations of the year. Antanas Juknevičius, Živilė and Viktoras Diawaros, Renata and Nerijus Juška will open the doors of their houses and invite you to a warm conversation.
