During the event, all Lithuanians in Canada were received by the President of the Supreme Restorative Council-Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania prof. Vytautas Landsbergis. The program includes greetings from both senior Canadian and Lithuanian officials, and a joint wish-greeting from all Lithuanian organizations in Canada. “I am very happy to have found ways to work with the Lithuanian community in Canada in these difficult pandemic conditions. We can connect virtually no matter where we are: in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. Using state-of-the-art tools , we have become even more united. As a result, we involve a much wider circle of Lithuanian Canadians in our activities. The events of February 16 in Canada are another great example of unity and love for Lithuania, “said the Lithuanian ambassador in Canada, Darius Skusevičius.
