The Lazdijai district is still the main address they choose when going from Belarus.
Last day, from midnight Saturday to Sunday, border guards denied entry to 40 migrants from Belarus.
There were 84 on Friday, 93 on Thursday, 54 on Wednesday, 63 on Tuesday, and 17 on Monday.
On Saturday, according to SBGS, immigrants from Belarus went to the districts of Ignalina, Varėna and Lazdijai. During the latter, as in previous days, most of those foreigners tried to enter Western Europe: 25.
Illegal immigrants were not allowed into Lithuania on Saturday.
In the evening, a shot was fired on the border on the Belarusian side near the Švenčionys district. The actions of official weapons, special measures or physical coercion were not used by the Lithuanian border guards and the soldiers who assisted them on the last day. Border control on the Lithuanian side is carried out under a reinforced regime.
