The increasing number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals and the regulation of their flows and the provision of care in the Vilnius region is a serious challenge and a daily task for the Santara clinics.
“Every day we plan the number of places in the Santara support clinics and hospitals. On average, 20 to 25 patients are admitted per day, of which between 60 and 70 percent may need oxygen therapy, so we think carefully about organizing patient flows, providing an additional twenty-day unit, and allocating human resources rationally, ”says COVID-19. Director of VUL Santara Clinic Organization Process Management in Eastern Lithuania Region Aušra Bilotienė Motiejūnienė.
Currently, 121 patients are treated in support hospitals: 93 patients in the Vilnius City Clinical Hospital, 3 of them in the Resuscitation and Intensive Care Unit, 15 patients in the Alytus V. Kudirka Hospital, 14 patients in the Hospital Ukmergė, 1 of them in the Resuscitation and Intensive Care Unit.
