Two men and a younger girl were killed, two of them were passengers in a car, one was riding a motorcycle. The average age of deaths is 22 years.
Among the injured were 15 minors: six passengers, four cyclists, three pedestrians and a moped and a motorcycle driver each. The highest number of victims was 43, as well as 29 passengers, 15 cyclists and 13 pedestrians, three of them in crosswalks.
The intoxicated drivers, according to preliminary data, were involved in four incidents, in which seven people were injured.
Comparing this week’s accident statistics with the same week last year, according to preliminary data, there were 40 more accidents, 53 more people injured and two fewer deaths.
According to preliminary data, 74 people died in traffic accidents in Lithuania, including Thursday this year: six fewer than in 2019 during the same period. 30 drivers died (nine on a motorcycle, six on a bicycle and one on a moped). Among the victims were three minors: two passengers and a teenager driving a car.
