Domantas Sabonis, who left the NBA bubble in Orlando, will seek a second opinion to help him decide on additional treatment for his foot pain. The Lithuanian left the team on Friday to visit independent doctors, reports journalist Scott Agness.

A 24-year-old Lithuanian was diagnosed with inflammation of the plantar fascia. It is an inflammation of the strong, thick and fibrous ligament that connects the heel to the front of the foot.
His left foot started to hurt when he returned to Indianapolis in late June. Before that, Sabonis spent three months in Los Angeles, where he trains in the summers.
“When I came back and started playing five to five, the foot was a little swollen and we checked it. Trauma is what it is and we have no return schedule, ”Sabonis told Agness.
Pacers ‘doctors diagnosed Sabonis’ injury, but he was allowed to meet with independent doctors and hear their opinions on the best way to treat the foot.
“Every day we try a new treatment, we try to reduce pain,” said Sabonis. “The goal is to eliminate pain, but with an injury like that, you don’t know how long it will take.”
Sabonis, who played his best season prior to quarantine, has not coached in the past 10 days and will miss all three Indiana Pacers games. It is not ruled out that he can no longer run on the parquet in the NBA season renewal competition.
Before stopping the NBA season, Sabonis averaged 18.5 points per game, recovered 12.4 points and made 5 assists per game.
