For the second year in a row, Domantas Sabonis, who will participate in the All-Stars skill competition, will fight another striker in the first leg.
Julius Randle, the leader of the New York Knicks, became the Lithuanian opponent. The winner of this pair will face Luka Dončičius in the semi-finals.
The latter, along with Phoenix Suns veteran Chris Paul, immediately won the semifinals.
Nikola Vučevičius of the Orlando Magic in Montenegro and Robert Covington of the Portland Trail Blazers will compete for a spot in the next pair.
Sabonis marched to the finals of the skills competition last year, where he descended on tall Miami Heat’s Bam Adebayo.
On his way to the final, the Lithuanian national team striker eliminated Jayson Tatum and Khris Middleton.
The All-Star event in Atlanta will take place at night from Sunday to Monday, starting at 1:30 p.m. Lithuanian time.
