The Top 16 stage of the FIBA Champions League didn’t happen much to the Riga VEF (0/4) team, who lost opportunities to advance to the next stage.
The decisive defeat of the Latvians was the defeat at home against San Pablo (3/0) of Burgos – 45:67 (16:20, 10:15, 15:13, 4:19).
The VEF attack did not occur in the first three parts (41:48) and was completely stopped in the fourth. In the decisive ten minutes, just four points were scored and the chances of victory diminished.

Saulius Kulvietis scored 6 points (1/2 two points, 1/6 three points, 1/2 free throws) in 23 minutes, bounced 2 and took control of the ball, made an effective pass, made a mistake once, made 3 times and scored 2 utility points.
No representative of the Riga club scored double-digit points, and the Latvians attacked the basket “out of the game” with a catastrophic 19 percent accuracy (13/69). Kyle Allman made a significant contribution to this, losing all 11 two points.
