The renovation of the section of S. Batoro Street that extends through the Naujoji Vilnia and Rasai elders, from Druja to Dūmų Street, has begun. The renovation of S. Batoro Street will also restore its slopes, which will improve rainwater runoff and reduce the chances of street flooding. It is planned to renovate the paved roads on S. Batoro Street and ensure a more convenient and safe connection for walking or rolling along the edge of the street by installing a fenced sidewalk.

After the layout of S. Batoro street, the approximately 25 thousand Vilnius residents who move daily to or from the city center will immediately feel the greatest benefits and convenience.

„S. Batoro Street is used daily by thousands of Vilnius residents who go to work or to educational and medical institutions. There is also a transit movement from Lavoriškės to Polotsk and back on this street. We organize the works in such a way that traffic on this busy city street is disturbed as little as possible, ”says Kęstutis Vaicekiūtis, the director of the Grinda company.

The section of Užtvankos Street to the Pūčkoriai Exhibition Bus Stop is currently being repaired. Due to planned repair work, the allowed speed has been reduced to 40 km / h, and transportation has been diverted to a traffic lane, temporary warning and prohibition signs have been installed, and instructions have been provided.

Repair work on S. Batoro street will be carried out not only during the day, but also at night. Traffic will be restricted in one lane in your chosen direction of travel during off-peak hours. Temporary warning signs, signs and information booths will be installed.
