In a group B match 94:77 (26:21, 25:12, 21:21, 22:23) the Macedonians were defeated (0/4), which means that Russia secures a place in the European Championship.

The intrigue in this match lasted only in the first quarter, as then Russia began to pull away (47:29) and did not waste the advantage. In the second part of the match, North Macedonia did not challenge the opponents.
