Russia set out to become the first country to have a coronavirus vaccine. Although experts have doubts about the hasty research, it is expected to be approved in a couple of weeks.
Russian authorities told CNN reporters that the Moscow-based Gamaleya Institute is preparing to deliver the vaccine by August 10. If authorized, the vaccine will be provided to medical professionals first.

Russian scientists explain that the vaccine is developing so quickly because it is a modified version of another vaccine that has already been developed. Other vaccines are being developed in a similar way, such as the Moderna vaccine that is currently being tested in phase III studies. However, American and European supervisors still require large-scale investigations.
