The Pasvalys ‘Milk Stars’ team, which scored three consecutive victories in the Betsafe-LKL championship, reinforces the front line.
Pasvalys agreed to cooperate before the end of the season with Edgar Želionis, who will replace the outgoing Latvia party Zigmar Raimo.
Last season, the 31-year-old Kaunas started in Egypt, moved to Saudi Arabia in November and has been playing for Le Portel’s Cote d’Opale in France since January.
In France’s highest league, E. Želionis managed to play six games, during which he spent an average of 20 minutes on the pitch, scoring 10.7 points and bouncing 3.7 balls.
E.Želionis has previously represented LKL for the then Prienai Rūdupis, Utena Juventus and Klaipėda Neptūnas.
The rookie Pasvalys should make his debut in the next weekend game against Neptune.
Z.Raimo, 23, played eight games in LKL this season, averaging 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 utility points in 10 minutes.
