Today before the Euroleague match between Kaunas “Žalgiris” and Saint Petersburg “Zenit” in 2019-2020. The Betsafe-LKL Champion Ring was awarded to KC Rivers.
The defender, who joined the ranks of the Lithuanian champions a year ago, lifted his wings to Russia at the end of the season, however the short stage of his career in Kaunas left good impressions on him.
“Given the end of last season, it was a lot of fun being a part of the championship team,” Rivers said after receiving the ring. – We had a great season, we only lost two games, but for the most part we had what it took for the title.
It’s a shame that we didn’t have the chance to win in the usual way, but there is, as is. The feeling of getting back together is good and bad, because due to the current circumstances, there are no fans in the game, but I’m happy to be here and hope to leave with a victory.
This will not be the only award of its kind from the LKL Champion Ring. When the Barça team arrives in Kaunas, the champions’ rings will be presented at the Lithuanian headquarters of this club, visiting the teams from Fenerbach in Istanbul and the AX Armani Exchange in Milan, and the prizes will be collected by Edgar Ulanov and Zach LeDay.
