“I will really complain, 100 percent (…) I will continue to consult a lawyer and it will definitely not be otherwise. Even then, in Lithuania, I cannot imagine what should be done to make a difference,” A. Ribnikov told BNS on Thursday.

He claimed that he had provided the investigating officers with all the data on how to determine the reality of the house, which was rebuilt by the Sodžius Būstas company owned by A. Ribnikov on behalf of J. Narkevičius.

“I even told the researcher how to identify all those things, not even the devil, I think, he did not take into account at all,” Ribnikov said.

Speaking that, according to the prosecution, no data was found that J. Narkevičius did not pay for the renovation of the house, which is supported by available documents and witness statements, the businessman said that the documents available to the prosecution office they were bogus and costly.

“I wrote that I was raped for writing fictitious documents. I myself confessed to the investigator for writing fictitious documents (…) nobody paid for them, ”said the former owner of Sodžius Būstas.

He said the house cost about $ 400,000 to build. LTL, and available documents are based on just 70K. However, the prosecution did not find out the real value of the house.

Ribnikov also said that he considered the issue of “government procurement irregularities” “not essential.”

“We just have to answer the question: where did this Jaroslav Narkevičius house come from? If someone answers that, I’ll take my hat off in front of him, ”said the businessman.

So far, he said that he had not yet received an official notification about the fate of the completed preliminary trial or that he had previously been granted rapporteur status.

On Thursday, the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor’s Office announced that it had terminated the pre-trial investigation into the possible bribery and bribery of former Minister of Transport and Communications Jaroslav Narkevičius, as no acts showing signs of crime or misconduct had been committed.

The pre-trial investigation was launched last spring by the Special Investigation Service after receiving a statement from A. Ribnikov, the former owner of the now bankrupt company Sodžius Būstas, who in 2008 agreed with J. Narkevičius that the company would rebuild the structure of the politician. parents’ home without compensation, and J. Narkevičius will help his company to win public contracts to carry out renovation works of some educational institutions in the Vilnius and Trakai district municipalities.

J. Narkevičius worked in the Vilnius city municipality administration in 2007-2008, his wife Irena Narkevič worked in the Trakai district municipality.

The prosecutor who conducted the pre-trial investigation did not establish that J. Narkevičius had demanded a bribe – to rebuild the house – for assistance in public procurement. There was also no evidence that the politician had an impact on the conduct of public procurement, and neither the Office of Public Procurement nor other institutions found violations here.

“Evaluating the allegations made by the applicant about the settlements of the house under reconstruction, the persons interviewed as witnesses indicated that the works had been liquidated, confirmed and received through written documents related to the works carried out during the reconstruction and their payment”, the noted the prosecutor’s office.

The State Tax Inspection, which carried out tax inspections, also found that the expenses of the politician and people related to him corresponded to the property they owned at that time and had sufficient income to acquire the property or justify the expenses.

In mid-May, the LRT announced that J. Narkevičius, who held a senior position in the Vilnius city municipality administration in 2007-2008, and his wife Irena Narkevič, who worked in the Trakai district municipality, could influence the construction company Sodžiaus Būstas. winning tenders for kindergartens and schools in Vilnius and Trakai. the sums earned would be used to rebuild a politician’s house in Trakai.

According to data from the LRT Research Department, in 2008-2012 Sodžius Būstas won at least ten projects in Vilnius and at least five in Trakai district. The total value of the works carried out exceeds one million euros (4 million 435 thousand litas).

J. Narkevičius stated that the renovation of the house in Trakai was financed mainly by his parents, who owned the building at the time, and stated that he could prove it.

The former minister had also appealed to the Prosecutor’s Office for defamation, but the latter refused to open a pre-trial investigation.
