“The conclusion is written, nobody knows its text, we only know certain fragments. It is said that everything is fine, everything is done according to some recommendations of foreign experts. According to these conclusions, the head of the Albinas Naudžiūnas hospital, who was dismissed for this fact, was reinstated ”, says journalist D. Žeimytė-Bilienė on the program” Delfi diena “.

“My colleagues and I asked for the text of that conclusion, and we asked SAM to explain the arguments that that disposable clothing suddenly became reusable so that doctors can reuse it, as infectologists have said when commenting on the situation,” he says .

According to the reporter, the findings indicate that no violations have been committed and the director can return to his post. When you repeatedly asked SAM for the commission’s findings a month ago and received a response, your ministry is unable to send the document because it contains A. Naudžiūnas’ personal data and his consent is not available. As a result, the journalist went to court.

“I decided to go to court as a natural person and try to defend the public’s right to know. If, in short, everything is fine and everything is done well by putting away those clothes that, by the way, were destroyed that night, why can’t that be said in public? The court accepted my complaint, the order was sent to SAM and we await a response. I hope that the complaint will be complied with and a limit will be established that non-state institutions can also cover with personal data, ”says D. Žeimytė-Bilienė.

Delfi also contacted SAM but received the same response: the ministry does not have the opportunity to present a conclusion because it does not have the consent of Professor A. Naudžiūnas, and the document relates to his personal data.

D. Žeimytė-Bilienė’s lawyer, Aurelija Rutkauskaitė, believes that this is just a formal excuse for not presenting a conclusion.

“It just came to our knowledge then. On the one hand, it is not clear why the depersonalized conclusion cannot be drawn. On the other hand, the teacher’s name, surname, title and place of work are publicly available, so what? what else is there? She expects a decision in half a year.

Meanwhile, journalist D. Žeimytė-Bilienė adds that some goals have still been achieved, after the scandal she says she has received messages of thanks from doctors.

“The doctors began to tell me that it was very good for you, because now we do not have that problem, nobody tells us to wear those clothes for the second time,” says the journalist on Delfi Day.
